Maine Public is seeking a part-time temporary HR Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative help with a focus on recruiting, hiring, and HR operations. This position features flexible part-time hours, Monday through Friday, and a hybrid schedule with remote and onsite work in our Lewiston and Portland facilities. This is a temporary position, 10 - 20 hours weekly, for up to six months. We intend to conduct a search for a full-time position later this year.
This role assists the HR team and our hiring managers. Tasks include advertising jobs, communicating with candidates and interview teams, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating interview logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic with high attention to detail and accuracy.
It's an exciting time for Maine Public as we are moving into our new Portland facility and navigating major transformation in how we serve our statewide audiences across radio, television, and digital platforms. The HR Assistant will play an important role in supporting our team during this transition.
The starting hourly rate is approx. $23.88.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, detail oriented, superior organizational and follow-through skills; administrative support experience preferred.
