Your Impact

The Barista is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. This role requires a passion for coffee, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to responsible alcohol service.

Your Responsibilities

Greet customers with a positive and welcoming attitude.

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and quality standards.

Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and cocktails, according to established recipes and responsible serving practices.

Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.

Operate and maintain bar equipment, such as blenders and bar tools.

Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages.

Maintain and stock grab and go and retail sections of the store.

Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bar, counters, and customer areas.

Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Adhere to all local and state laws regarding responsible alcohol service, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.

Stock and replenish supplies as needed.

Provide recommendations and answer customer questions about menu and retail items.

Build rapport with customers and provide friendly, energetic, and exceptional customer service.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.

Prepare light food items, such as pastries or sandwiches as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Skills/Experience

Previous experience as a Barista preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Previous experience in bartending or serving alcohol is a plus.

Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Ability to work well in a team.

Basic math and cash handling skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state/local laws.

Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol server certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) as required by local and/or state law.
