About Us
Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Employees receive benefits provided by the University System of Georgia, including, but not limited to, medical and major medical insurance, group life insurance, participation in the Georgia Teachers' Retirement System, Optional Retirement Plan (Faculty and exempt employees only), Social Security and Tuition Assistance Program after six months of employment.
Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
Assist the Albany State Football program and Athletics Strategic Communications Office with photography, videography, social media content, and storytelling initiatives that promote Albany State Football, its student-athletes, coaches, and recruiting efforts. This position provides hands-on experience in sports content creation, digital media, branding, and athletics communications.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with practice and game-day setup and breakdown.
  • Prepare, distribute, collect, and maintain team equipment and uniforms.
  • Assist with court setup, hydration, practice drills, and game-day operations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the locker room, equipment room, and basketball facility.
  • Assist with inventory, administrative tasks, and team travel preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the coaching staff.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current Albany State student enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours.
  • Capture photographs and video content during football games, practices, workouts, camps, and special events.
  • Assist with the creation of social media graphics, reels, short-form videos, and other digital content.
  • Support real-time social media coverage of football events and activities.
  • Assist with the production of recruiting content, including prospect visit materials and highlight videos.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content that showcases the student-athlete experience and football program culture.
  • Assist with writing captions, player features, and promotional content.
  • Help maintain football-related social media accounts under staff supervision.
  • Organize and archive digital photos and video assets.
  • Support marketing campaigns, special events, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with content collection for athletics website stories, game-day programs, and promotional materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
