In Allergy Immunology and Rheumatology Clinic at Main Campus Park Place North
Work schedule will be Part-time Benefits Eligible on the Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, variable 24 hours per week.
Summary:
The Specialty Care Services Specialty Clinic Nurse is a professional nurse who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients and families in an outpatient specialty care clinic setting.
Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Basic Life Support
Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor of Science Nursing in Nursing or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing and 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Outpatient

Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Nurse Practitioners also provide care in these areas, under the supervision of the Attending MD. Services with Allergy/Immunology cover a variety of diseases and conditions including but not limited to: Allergic Rhino-Conjunctivitis (Hay Fever), Allergic and Non-allergic Asthma, Urticaria (Hives), Angioedema (swelling disorders), Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema), Allergies to foods/stinging insects/medications, hereditary immune deficiencies (Primary Immune Deficiencies). Services with Rheumatology cover a variety of diseases and conditions including but not limited to: autoimmune disorders, including juvenile arthritis, lupus, myositis, scleroderma and various vasculitides. A variety of treatment options are available such as Allergy Immunotherapy, Food and Medication Challenges, Biologic agents, intra-articular corticosteroid joint injections.
