Home Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

Part-Time

Salary Range: $60.00-$80.00 per hour

As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking experienced and compassionate Home Infusion Registered Nurses to join our team and provide in-home infusion services throughout California.

Position Summary

The Home Infusion Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality infusion therapy in patients' homes. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong IV skills, independent decision-making, and exceptional patient education. The RN works collaboratively with physicians, pharmacists, and the clinical team to ensure the highest level of patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Education & Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in ICU, ER, Critical Care, Oncology, Infusion, or a similar acute care setting
  • Previous home infusion or infusion nursing experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
  • Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent peripheral IV insertion and central line access skills
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a home setting
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with patients and caregivers
Essential Responsibilities
  • Travel to patients' homes to administer prescribed infusion therapies and injectable medications.
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments before, during, and after each infusion.
  • Establish peripheral IV access and access/maintain central venous access devices, including PICC lines and implanted ports.
  • Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies.
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, infusion procedures, potential side effects, and catheter care.
  • Accurately document all assessments, treatments, patient responses, and education in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the clinical team to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain infusion supplies and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and medical waste.
  • Follow all infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-focused care while promoting safety and clinical excellence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain all required clinical competencies.
Travel Requirements
  • Frequent local travel to patient homes throughout assigned territories.
  • Mileage and approved business expenses are reimbursed.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
Compensation & Benefits

The hourly pay range for this position is $55.00-$65.00 per hour, depending on experience, clinical expertise, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
