Responsibilities
Position: Bell Attendant
Pay Rate: $12.00/hr + tips
As a Bellperson, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service from arrival to departure. This role is responsible for escorting guests to their accommodations in a friendly and courteous manner while ensuring the safe and efficient handling of their belongings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Assistance: Escort arriving and departing guests to and from their rooms, providing a warm welcome and professional farewell.
  • Room Orientation: Visually inspect guest rooms upon arrival and acquaint guests with room features, amenities, and hotel services.
  • Luggage Management: Carefully transport, organize, and store guest luggage. Accurately read tags, issue claim tickets, and maintain the highest level of care for guest property.
  • Guest Inquiry Support: Respond promptly and accurately to guest requests and questions regarding hotel services and local area attractions.
  • Communication: Proactively inform management and leadership of relevant guest feedback or inter-departmental needs.
  • Operational Support: Assist supervisors and managers with additional tasks as assigned to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements:
  • Education & Experience: No high school diploma required; up to one month of related experience or training is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Driver's License: Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record (only required if operating company vehicles or driving for company business).
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to write basic correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one or small group settings with guests and colleagues.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but standardized instructions and handle basic situational problems effectively.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts based on location needs, including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends.
Physical Demands
The following physical abilities are required to perform the essential functions of this role:
  • Strength: Ability to regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Agility: Must be able to move quickly and perform frequent physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and bending.
  • Dexterity & Vision: Regular use of hands/fingers to handle luggage and equipment. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to use and understand standard and military time.
  • Maintain a pleasant, professional, and composed demeanor during all guest interactions.
  • Effectively address and resolve customer complaints or concerns.
