Job description

Who are we hiring?  

The Manager Finance is responsible for FP&A functions supporting Venue Operations & Food Beverage & Merchandise functions at the Theaters (Radio City Music Hall, Beacon & Chicago Theaters). This includes preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts as well as month end reporting & analysis. This role will work closely and support the operations teams for each respective area to ensure all material variances are known and reported on monthly management reporting packages.

What will you do?

  • Preparation of annual operating & capital budgets, monthly forecasts & business reviews for Venue Operations, & Food Beverage & Merchandise across all events at the theaters (Radio City, Beacon, Chicago)
  • Prepare & present month-end reporting packages with variance analysis to department heads & General Manager.
  • Prepare & distribute various Food, Beverage & Merchandise reports, including post-event flash reports, weekly revenue actual vs budget, ad hoc product, quantity, sales, ROI analyses.
  • Maintain and analyze monthly tracking files for key expenses including labor, utilities, taxes, licenses and permits, and capital expenditures.
  • Collaborate with and support the Accounting team during month end close by reviewing P&L's, researching variances, and communicating findings.
  • Analyze Data Warehouse information on Food & Merchandise to ensure accurate data flows from POS systems. Support and assist integration of new POS systems.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including union and part-time labor tracking vs. plan, ensuring staffing levels remain within budget. Support various business units by performing ad hoc analyses, approving purchase orders, providing account coding, and responding to miscellaneous financial questions and requests.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, MBA a plus.
  • 5 years' experience in Finance/Accounting/Strategy, preferably in financial analysis and budgeting in the Entertainment or Sports industry.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Prior knowledge of facilities finance a plus, which includes Union/Part time labor, rent & property tax, utilities, repairs & maintenance.
  • Strong skills in systems currently utilized, i.e. Excel, Tableau, Oracle GL, Oracle planning (Hyperion), as well as various food beverage & Ability to work both independently to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and open to learning new ways of working.
  • Ability to be a reliable team member, capable of effective collaboration to achieve our shared goals across teams, departments, and companies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring the message based on the purpose, audience, and channel.
