Job description

About Throne

Throne is a fast growing Series B startup transforming public infrastructure by delivering clean, safe, smart restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers like LA Metro, Caltrain, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Beverly Hills and Washington DC, we're rapidly scaling and preparing for multi-city expansion in 2026 - 2027.

We recognize an unspoken problem: that better bathroom accommodations are sorely needed in most cities. Public and retail bathrooms are neither positioned to meet demand, nor incentivized to provide the quality experience people deserve.

Our mission is to provide peace of mind to the millions of people who set out on an adventure on any given day. That adventure may be big or small. It may involve taking your toddler to the park, driving a stranger to the airport, running a half marathon, or exploring a new city for the first time.

You will be responsible for safely transporting, pumping, and disposing of waste from Throne units across multiple boroughs of New York City. This role ensures Thrones remain clean, functional, and stocked while maintaining high sanitation and environmental standards. Drivers also perform light repairs and assist with basic warehouse operations during downtime.

This position requires a CDL (Class A or B) with a tanker (N) endorsement, strong attention to safety, and professionalism while interacting with the public.

The base hourly rate for this position is $34.80, in addition to $16.14 per hour in fringe benefits. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's applicable experience and skills. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including equity.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete accurate pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Document service details, waste volumes, supply usage, and any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to all DOT, environmental, and safety regulations.

Safety & Public Interaction

  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage (provided by Throne).
  • Interact professionally with members of the public while working in the field.
  • Represent Throne Labs' mission and uphold cleanliness and operational standards.

Warehouse & Team Support

  • During downtime, assist with light warehouse duties including organizing inventory, loading/unloading supplies, and general upkeep.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to support efficient field and facility workflows.

What You'll Bring

Required

  • CDL Class A or B with Tanker (N) Endorsement.
  • At least 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work 5 days per week in an outdoor, public-facing field environment.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
