Job description

Acclaim Physician Group, Inc. (Acclaim) is a multi specialty medical group practice comprised of over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants that partner with JPS Health Network (JPS). Acclaim supports JPS's mission of transforming healthcare delivery for the communities we serve. As the county health network and Level-1 Trauma Center, JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years. In addition to providing high-quality care, JPS is also an urban teaching hospital with a long history of training physicians and medical students. JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, including the largest family medicine residency in the nation. JPS educates in tandem with the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Texas Christian University Medical School.

Acclaim Family Medicine APP Residency Open Application Dates:April 1 - 31

When submitting your online application, you will need to attach all of the following documentation to be considered:1. CV/Resume with professional work history (RN experience as applicable), education, and all FNP/PA clinical rotations.
Work history must include dates (month and year), status (full time, part time, etc) and unit or clinic details (ICU Med-Surg, CHC, etc.)
Clinical Rotations must include the Location, Dates, # of hours completed, and your preceptors name and title.
2. A cover letter addressed to "APP Residency Director" with the integration of the two (2) topics below. Please limit your letter to 1 page.
What attributes do you possess that will aid in your successful completion of the residency program and ongoing practice as an APP at Acclaim?
In what areas do you want to increase mastery/competence over the course of the residency program?
3. Official or unofficial transcript that reflects the degree awarded from an accredited Master of Science in Nursing degree program or Master of Science degree equivalent for PAs.
4. A Word document with a minimum of three (3) references. You must include their name, location and email address.
Clinical Preceptors (2 responses required)
For FNPs, current Nursing Supervisor (1 response required). For PAs, or if not currently working, the most recent supervisor will be accepted.
If you have submitted all of the required documentation, your references will receive a link to complete a reference online within 48 business hours. Completed references must be received by end of the business day on May 31 or your application will be considered incomplete.
Applications and additional documents will not be accepted outside of the open application period.
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioners:
Valid APRN and FNP license in the state of TX or successful completion of FNP boards by June 30, 2024
No previous APRN practice experience
Basic Life Support Certification
Valid and unencumbered Texas RN licensure
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse
If you are a current JPS Health Network Employee, you must not be under any disciplinary action or on a performance improvement plan.
Physician Assistants:Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program by May 31 of the program year
Current Physician Assistant (P.A.) licensure to practice in the state of Texas by June 30 of the program year
No previous APP practice experience
BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) upon hire is preferred
If you are a current JPS Health Network Employee you must not be under any disciplinary action or on a performance improvement plan.
