Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Full or Part-Time Shipping & Customer Service Associate to join our team at The UPS Store in Raleigh, NC. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to deliver exceptional service to customers while supporting daily shipping and operational activities in a fast-paced retail environment. Compensation ranges from $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting with shipping, packaging, and mail services.
- Accurately and efficiently process shipments, ensuring compliance with USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other carrier regulations.
- Promptly and professionally address customer inquiries and resolve any issues.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace, including stocking supplies and managing inventory.
- Provide support for additional retail services such as printing, copying, and mailbox rentals as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and outstanding customer experiences.
- Continuously practice attentive listening with customers, team members, and leadership.
- Take full ownership of customers' shipping needs by offering suitable solutions.
- Actively learn about all products, services, alternative solutions, and industry trends to enhance expertise.
- Operate all equipment, software, and devices proficiently and be willing to assist in training others.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and business objectives.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites, with basic familiarity with shipping software considered a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong spelling and mathematical abilities.
- Outstanding phone etiquette and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and positive individual with the ability to lift 40+ pounds.
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $13.00 to $15.00, paid bi-weekly.
