Position Summary
Department: Scripts Pharmacy
Status: Full-Time | 40hours per week
Shift: M-F, 9:00am-5:30pm
Title: Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Technician

Position Summary
The liaison is responsible for growing key service line areas as defined by leadership. Responsible for managing and executing successful collaboration between pharmacy, patients, providers, and clinic staff with the goal of growing specialty pharmacy patient
population.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
• Functions as a Specialty Pharmacy advocate.
• Develops relationships and generates referrals with Orlando Health providers and with community partners.
• Provides customer service and expertise to patients and providers regarding specialty pharmacy enrollment, prescription processing,
benefits investigations, prior authorizations, financial assistance, prescription status inquiries, and any other question as it pertains
to specialty pharmacies.
• Exhibits excellent customer service skills in collaboration with clinic staff, provider, and healthcare systems.
• Initializes and leads ongoing work in the health system's/hospital's clinics and ensures that the patient engagement is appropriate
and consistent with their preferences.
• Maintains supportive relationships with customers.
• Demonstrates the ability to assess current workflows, work with subject matter experts to develop recommendations, and
implement said workflows. In addition, capable of ensuring that new processes continue after implementation, including assessment
of competencies of affected team members.
• Assists with strategic planning, business development initiatives and provider engagement events.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology.
• Ability and willingness to travel to various sites and provide own transportation.
• Ability to work independently with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state,
and local standards
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Training
• High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Licensure/Certification
• Maintains current Pharmacy Technician registration with Florida Board of Pharmacy.
Experience
• Two (2) years of related specialty or retail pharmacy experience required.
