About the Role

Yoga Instructors at Bouldering Project lead intentional, inclusive, and inspiring classes that support the mind-body connection through breath and movement. Instructors are responsible for developing thoughtful sequences that align with BP’s yoga class formats, while cultivating a positive and welcoming studio environment for all participants. This role requires professionalism, safety awareness, and a community-focused attitude.

We are currently seeking experienced instructors with weekend availability.



What You’ll Do

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Help open a brand new gym and build up a brand new community!
  • Design and teach creative, well-sequenced classes that align with BP’s offerings (e.g., Restore, Align, Flow, Power Flow and Hot Power Flow)
  • Clearly cue safe and dynamic asana postures, breathwork, and transitions, offering modifications for a variety of levels
  • Welcome all participants, including new students, and foster a community-centered class environment
  • Offer hands-on assists when appropriate and only with consent
  • Maintain professionalism by arriving early, starting and ending class on time, and upholding studio standards
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and proper care of yoga props and equipment
  • Coordinate sub coverage when unable to teach and support fellow instructors by subbing as needed
  • Respond to emergencies according to safety protocols and report incidents appropriately
  • Participate in staff meetings and continuing education sessions
  • Accurately check students into class and maintain class headcounts
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 200-hr YTT (Yoga Alliance) or equivalent training and experience
  • Current CPR/AED certification and basic first aid training
  • Minimum 1+ year experience teaching yoga classes in a studio setting
  • Strong communication and class management skills
  • Ability to serve a wide range of fitness levels and abilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of yoga instruction experience
  • RYT 500 or E-RYT 200 designation
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Exercise Science, Wellness)
