Job description

Overview:
Part Time Class A CDL Driver
We're looking for a dependable Part-Time Class A CDL Driver to support local heavy equipment transfers between our nearby yards. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady, weekday hours with no long hauls-Morning, 5 hour shift Monday through Friday!.
Hourly range $25-30/hr based on experience, Paid weekly
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Transport heavy equipment using tractor trailer to other yards within 5-10 mile radius
  • Load, unload, and secure freight to prevent damage during transit.
  • Operate company vehicles and adhere to DOT safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
  • Perform comprehensive pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety,
  • Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising or lowering attachments or other machine movements to facilitate transport
  • Work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
  • Read and interpret paperwork associated with the shipping/receiving function including but not limited to; bills of lading, shipping orders, manifests, tally sheets or export documentation.
  • Communicate with customers.

Job Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • One year of commercial Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Current valid CDL A with good driving record
  • Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret paperwork associated with shipping/receiving function
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to complete a full workday walking and/or standing in all reasonable weather conditions
