Job description

Department: Coliseum                                                                     FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Classification/Level:  Part-Time                                                      Date:  1/2024

Under the Direction of the Parking Lot Supervisor, the part-time Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for providing customer service to guests as they park at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. This position is Not Covered as defined by The Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen Employee Handbook.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Greets guests and collects proceeds for parking lot.
  • Assists in directing traffic, as needed.
  • Helps guests with general information as to where to enter events.
  • Answers event related questions.
  • Has a general knowledge of the building and participates in all emergency procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Available to work events during the day, nights, weekends and holidays
  • General cash handling skills to balance proceeds
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to follow instructions

PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS:

The Parking Lot Attendant maintains frequent contact with other employees and guests of the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Parking Lot Attendant works outside in all types of weather, often standing for 4-5 hours at a time. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
