Job description

Evening & Weekend Receptionist / Deal Processing Assistant

Premier Volvo | Overland Park, Kansas | Part-Time

Are you friendly, dependable, organized, and comfortable balancing customer service with detail oriented administrative work? Premier Volvo in Overland Park is looking for a part-time Evening & Weekend Receptionist / Deal Processing Assistant to support our customers and dealership team.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people but also likes having structured, detail-focused work to complete during quieter periods.

The Position

You'll be the welcoming face and voice of Premier Volvo during our evening and Saturday hours, helping customers get where they need to go and ensuring incoming calls are handled professionally.

Because incoming phone and foot traffic is typically lighter during these hours, you'll also assist our accounting team with straightforward deal-processing tasks.

What You'll Do

Reception & Customer Service

  • Greet customers warmly and professionally as they enter the dealership.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct callers to the appropriate person or department.
  • Help direct customer foot traffic to Sales, Service, Parts, or other team members.
  • Provide a polished, welcoming experience for every customer and visitor.
  • Assist dealership team members with general administrative needs as appropriate.

Deal Processing & Accounting Support

  • Post completed vehicle deals to accounting following established procedures.
  • Print and prepare deal labels and related documentation.
  • Perform a basic deal audit using a provided checklist to confirm required documents and information are present.
  • Identify missing or incomplete items and communicate them to the appropriate team member.
  • Keep deal paperwork organized and ready for accounting review.
  • Complete other light administrative or accounting-support tasks as assigned.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable learning a system, following established procedures, and paying close attention to detail.

Schedule

This is a consistent part-time evening and weekend position:

  • Monday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (must be able to work every Saturday)
  • Friday & Sunday: Off

Approximately 21 hours per week.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers.
  • Dependable and punctual — reliability is especially important for this position.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow a consistent process or checklist.
  • Comfortable learning new computer systems and entering information accurately.
  • Organized and able to transition between customer facing responsibilities and administrative work.
  • Professional on the phone with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and stay productive during slower periods.
  • Willing to ask questions, learn, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Previous receptionist, administrative, clerical, cashier, bookkeeping, dealership, or office experience is helpful, but not required. We are happy to train the right person.

Ready to Join Our Team?

If you're looking for a consistent part-time schedule and a position that combines customer interaction with meaningful administrative responsibilities, we'd love to hear from you.
