Title: Hourly Research AnalystDepartment:Dist ProfessorReports To:Distinguished ProfessorPosition Summary:

The Hourly Data Analyst (part-time) will play a key role in environmental projects at the Center for Natural Resources (CNR). This position will conduct experiments on contamination in soils for projects led by the CNR.


Essential Functions:
  • Conduct experiments on contamination in soils.
  • Assist with laboratory and field investigations into the breakdown and transport of pollutants in water and sediment, as well as their interaction with associated contaminants.
  • Provide progress reports to CNR director, Dr. Boufadel.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by the Center Director

Prerequisite Qualifications:
  • The qualified candidate would have a Masters or enrolled in PhD in Environmental, Civil Engineering or equivalent or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with research centers, government-funded environmental projects (e.g., NJDEP, EPA, NOAA).
  • Experience collaborating with scientists and engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently from the Center Director, and to communicate effectively using emails.
  • Effective communication and writing skills.

Compensation: $25-$35/hour
