Job description

Responsible for producing MRI images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning/exam instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing, and operating the MR scanner and x-ray equipment (as needed), and position the patient to capture appropriate images.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Interprets MR Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
2. Evaluates MR scans and X-Ray images (as needed) for technical quality.
4. Utilizes EPIC Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
5. Start IV lines and pre-screens outpatients prior to any contrast exams.
6. Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
7. Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
8. Treats fellow employees in a respectful and professional manner. 
9. Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to QA, stock maintenance, and customer service recovery.  

Required: 
- Associate’s degree in Radiology and/or a graduate of an accredited radiology program required. 

- MR Certified through ARRT or ARMRIT 

-BLS through AHA.

Preferred:

  • State RT License for ARRT candidates through the NJDEP
