Job description

Position Type: Full-Time Locum
Specialty: Cardiac CRNA
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Contract Length: Preferred 6 months (will consider 3 months)
Rate: 250/hr on 1099 with Travel, Lodging and Malpractice Coverage

Schedule
  • 40-hour work week
  • 4x10 schedule: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday
  • Must be available to work all 4 weeks per month
  • One evening call shift per week
  • One weekend call shift every 6 weeks
  • No part-time providers accepted
Practice Setting
  • Hospital / Medical Center
  • Level III Trauma Facility
  • Dedicated Cardiac Anesthesia Team
  • Care Team Model
Case Mix & Procedures
  • 100% Cardiac / Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Open Heart Procedures
  • CABGs
  • Valve Replacements
  • Aortic Root Procedures
  • Pericardial Windows
  • Thoracic/Lung Cases
  • Laser Lead Removals
  • Rib Platings
  • Small ECMO Program
  • 2–5 cardiac cases per day
Clinical Details
  • CRNAs do not place arterial lines
  • CRNAs do not place central lines
  • CRNAs do not place/remove or interpret TEE
  • Average callback volume is low
  • Weekend call typically ranges from 0–2 callbacks
EMR
  • Epic (Highly Preferred)
Requirements
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Active State License or Compact License
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS preferred
  • Cardiac/Open Heart experience required
