Where You Will Work:
Aurora Health (now part of Advocate Health) WI Float Pool is a multi-site resource team supporting Women's Health (WH) care across the Wisconsin division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.
We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
  • Must be able to support 2 of 3 specialties: Post Partum, Labor & Delivery, NICU
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Additional Certification needed: LDRP RN (ACLS, NRP, EFM, Telemetry Rhythm Analysis/Interpretation POC Glucose; NICU RN (PALS, NRP, POC Glucose)
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of WH RN experience required in specialty
  • Weekend Requirement (Friday 1900 - Monday 0700): 1 Weekend Shift per 2 schedule period
  • Holiday Requirement: 1 Holiday per year
  • Schedule: Self-scheduled. Assignments may be day-to-day or long-term float placements. A minimum of 12 hours per scheduled period is required and may be met through a combination of 4-, 8-, or 12-hour shifts.

What You'll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include:
  • Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence-based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrating adaptability by floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone, integrating quickly into new departments, and collaborating with diverse teams
  • Leading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experience
  • Coordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute-care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settings
  • Maintaining the competency required to practice in all acute-care facilities within the designated zone
