Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) - Fairport, NY
Join Fairport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 142-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, as a Registered Nurse Supervisor. As a RN Supervisor, you will provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment. RN Supervisor Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct resident assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor, document, and manage resident health status, medications, and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide education and emotional support to residents and their families
• Lead and support nursing staff during evening or night shifts
• Serve as the senior nurse on duty and respond to emergent situations
• Oversee census documentation and assist with staff education
• Act as a clinical leader and professional role model
• Report directly to the Director of Nursing
Compensation and Schedule
• Payrate: $45.00 per Hour
Available Shifts and Schedule Options
• Every other Weekend: Evening (3:00pm – 11:00pm)
• Schedule Options: Part-Time (22.5 hours per week), Weekend availability required
RN Supervisor Qualifications and Skills
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1–2 years of long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and regulatory standards (CMS and NYS Department of Health)
• Proven leadership ability with strong staff management and delegation skills
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Strong communication, documentation, and computer/EMR skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Availability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts (evenings/nights as needed)
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and composure in a fast-paced environment
