JOB DESCRIPTION
- PART-TIME / ADJUNCT

Oral Roberts University is seeking a qualified and dynamic Adjunct Professor to teach the graduate-level courses as part of the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Library & Media Leadership program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in school librarianship, information literacy, instructional technology, and media leadership. The adjunct professor will deliver high-quality instruction, engage with students in both synchronous and asynchronous environments, and contribute to the success of the aspiring library professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach graduate-level courses in Library Science, School Library Media, Information Literacy, Educational Technology, and related topics.
  • Develop and deliver engaging course content that aligns with program goals and industry standards.
  • Facilitate meaningful discussions, assignments, and assessments to support student learning.
  • Provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
  • Stay up to date with current trends, research, and best practices in school librarianship and media leadership.
  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other instructional technology to enhance online and hybrid learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to ensure alignment with accreditation and certification requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Master's degree in Library Science, School Library Media, Information Science, Educational Leadership, or a related field from a CAEP or ALA accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Experience working as a school librarian, media specialist, library administrator, or library science educator.
  • Knowledge of school library administration, program development, leadership strategies, and policy implementation.
  • Teaching experience in higher education or K-12 settings (online or in-person).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

PREFERRED:
  • Experience teaching in an online or hybrid learning environment.
  • Familiarity with state and national certification standards for school librarians.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations (e.g., AASL, ALA, ISTE).
