Can I do a part-time entry level RBT?

Yes, it is possible to work as a part-time entry-level Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Many employers offer flexible schedules, and RBTs typically need to complete a certification course and pass a background check before starting. Part-time positions often involve fewer hours but still require adherence to the RBT task list and supervision requirements.

Can I be a part time entry level RBT with no experience?

Part-time entry-level RBT positions typically require completion of a 40-hour training program and passing the certification exam, but prior experience is not always necessary. Employers often hire individuals with no experience if they demonstrate a willingness to learn and meet basic requirements, such as background checks and supervision commitments. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is usually required within a specified timeframe after hiring.

Is it better to start as a part-time registered behavior technician?

Starting as a part-time registered behavior technician (RBT) can be beneficial for gaining experience, building skills, and earning certification while maintaining flexibility. It allows individuals to assess their interest in the field and develop foundational skills before pursuing full-time roles or advanced certifications. However, the decision depends on personal goals and the availability of part-time opportunities in the area.
