Position Overview

The Development Coordinator is a part-time role that supports ACE Scholarships' Colorado and National Development teams by providing administrative, project coordination, donor stewardship, and document development support. This position plays an important role in helping the Development team execute fundraising initiatives, communicate professionally with donors and stakeholders, and keep projects, files, and communications organized and moving forward.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, technologically proficient, an exceptional communicator, and enjoys working behind the scenes to help a mission-driven team succeed. This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a collaborative, high-performing Development team.


Primary Job Responsibilities

Development Team Support

  • Provide project support to the Colorado and National Development teams.
  • Assist with the tactical implementation of strategic fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage projects to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, presentations, donor visits, and events.

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Support donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgement letters, thank-you correspondence, and gratitude management.
  • Assist with donor communications and follow-up.
  • Help maintain accurate donor records and organized development files.
  • Ensure timely, thoughtful, and professional communication with donors and stakeholders.

Presentation & Document Development

  • Create professional PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
  • Assist with formatting and editing fundraising materials and executive communications.

Information Management & Administrative Coordination

  • Organize and maintain electronic files and development documentation.
  • Manage departmental records and ensure information is accurate and accessible.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and other development functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting a development, fundraising, nonprofit, executive office, or project-driven team preferred.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously preferred.
  • Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, or fundraising software preferred.
  • Passion for education and ACE Scholarships' mission of expanding educational opportunity.

Location, Travel, and Reporting

  • Part-time, in-office position based in Denver.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Occasional flexibility in schedule may be required to support meetings, development activities, donor events, or other team needs.
  • Reports to the Vice President of Development Operations.

FLSA Status

Part-time, Non-Exempt


Compensation

Hourly wage range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience and alignment with internal pay bands.

In addition, this role is eligible for ACE's benefits package in accordance with part-time employee eligibility requirements and plan terms, which includes but is not limited to:
