Position Summary
UNM Information Technologies is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Enterprise Project Manager. Qualified individuals will be expected to lead and manage the development of large technology projects with direct impact on the core enterprise operations and processes of the University and provide mentoring and support to UNM staff using the PMO's methodology and tools.
Project Managers work with Directors and managers to align projects to meet business and IT needs and with managers and staff across the University to drive adoption of best practices that improve our return on technology investment.
Strong skills are required in project management, business analysis, system development life cycle, cost and quality management, team building, conflict resolution, problem solving and organizational change management.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience with technology projects in a large and complex organization, and in implementation of technical services that conform to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library.
Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology, and an understanding of information requirements of a major research university are required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Institute certification in Project Management
  • Experience with agile or extreme PM methodology
  • Experience with System Development Life Cycles
  • Certification in ITIL
  • Understanding of IT architecture
  • Experience at a public higher education institution
  • Training
