Description:

Position Summary:

Assists with the production of collateral materials, such as posters, contests, coupons, postcards and digital campaigns to create extra interest in the purchase of a product or service for the department, entire organization, or on a customer basis.


This is a part-time, entry level internship position over the school year, going from August-May, with the potential to transition to a full-time permanent position based on performance and desirability of both parties. Ideal candidates would be able to work 20 hours a week M-F, in-office.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products or services, working with customers, company officials, sales departments and advertising agencies.
  • Inspect layouts and advertising copy and edit scripts, audio and video tapes, and other promotional material for adherence to specifications.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing campaigns (print and digital).
  • Gather and organize information to plan advertising campaigns.
  • Perform market analysis and research on the latest marketing trends.
  • Confer with department heads or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media, or product to be advertised.
  • Monitor and analyze sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaigns.
  • Provide presentation and product demonstration support during the introduction of new products and services to field staff and customers.
  • Plan and execute advertising policies and strategies for organizations.
  • Assemble and communicate with a strong, diverse coalition of organizations, securing their cooperation, support and action, to further sales goals.
  • Consult publications to learn about conventions and social functions and to organize prospect files for promotional purposes.
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks.
  • Other marketing projects as needed.

Education & Experience:

Education: High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree.

Experience: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, and HTML/CSS is a plus.

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, know how to use the internet for research and marketing, as well as easily adapt to new systems.
