Duties REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: The College seeks candidates who exhibit an understanding and commitment to the community college mission, and who have a passion for commitment to student success. - Participation in ongoing professional development. TEACHING: - Ability to create a dynamic learning environment that values instructor/student interaction. - Ability to effectively engage with and facilitate authentic learning for students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

- Ability to adapt teaching pedagogy to the knowledge of each individual and class. - Ability to self-reflect and respond to an evidence-based assessment of student learning. - Demonstrated experience and commitment to integrating new technologies into the learning process, including but not limited to interactive technologies for on campus and on-line courses.

- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the discipline; OR, 2.

An Associate degree and six years of experience in the discipline; OR, 3. Hold a valid credential to teach in the discipline; OR, 4. Meet equivalent qualifications established by the district AND appropriate certificate to practice or licensure or its equivalent, if available; OR the equivalent AND 5.

Evidence of a sensitivity, understanding, and ability to manage the classroom environment AND effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Part-time faculty needed to teach networking, cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing courses. - Recent community college or lower division teaching experience.

- Expertise in field of course(s) to be taught. - Proficiency in Online Instruction. Additional Information APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Long Beach City College only considers complete applications for employment.
