Job Summary

SteamSOS is seeking a licensed Massachusetts Stationary Engineer or High-Pressure Boiler Operator to oversee and operate a high-pressure temporary rental boiler system supporting a local VA healthcare facility.

This is a high-paying opportunity for experienced power plant operators looking for strong hourly compensation, flexible shift schedules (full-time or supplemental part-time work welcome), and straightforward plant management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and monitor high-pressure mobile/rental boiler systems supplementing the facility.
  • Perform routine shift rounds, water quality tests, chemical feed checks, and log readings.
  • Monitor boiler water levels, pressure headers, and system safety alarms.
  • Maintain accurate shift logbooks in accordance with MA state safety regulations.
  • Ensure an uninterrupted steam supply to critical hospital infrastructure.

Requirements

  • License (Mandatory): Valid Massachusetts Stationary Engineer License (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Class) OR High-Pressure Boiler Operator License.
  • Experience: Proven experience operating high-pressure steam boilers and auxiliary plant equipment.
