The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Electrical Engineer (Part-Time)-Journeyman. The hourly range of this position is $48.08 - $67.31/hour and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an Electrical Engineer (Part-Time)-Journeyman may include:
  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems
  • Reviews/prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals and other technical documentation
  • Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions (system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, acquisition/resource management, etc.)
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, and evaluates software, components, and systems supporting military weapons and related systems

Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 6 years of additional work experience (9 years total)
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with XMA-ADT
  • Experience with CyberSafe
  • Experience with Program Protection Plans
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework Authority to Operate (ATO) work products
  • Experience with Anti-Tamper (AT) process and products
  • Knowledge of NAVAIR acquisition timeline and practices in the area of Systems Engineering (SE)
  • Knowledge of NAVAIR Aircraft Network Architecture Development
  • Knowledge of Anti-Tamper (AT) and Critical Program Information Identification
  • Knowledge of Navy Program Protection Planning Criticality Analysis and Cyber Security Strategy development processes and guidance
  • Minimum clearance required to apply (candidates who do not currently hold the required clearance will not be considered): DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Additional Accesses: The ability to obtain and maintain the DoD security clearance eligibility and/or additional security access requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position, as required by the contract
