Summary:

Greenacres is home to a passionate team of curious, engaged individuals who are committed to inspiring conservation and connecting people to the natural world. We are currently looking to add a Farm Market Associate to our team at the Greenacres Michaela Farm Market. In this part-time role (10-15 hours per week), you will work closely with the Farm Market Manager to create a welcoming customer experience in our charming, small-town farm market. From stocking shelves and assembling customer orders to engaging with visitors and preparing farm-fresh products for sale, your work will directly support our mission and help bring Greenacres' values to life.


The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and excited to learn. Someone who thrives in a customer-facing role and is eager to contribute to a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. Regular shifts are 3 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday with shifts around the holidays required.

Responsibilities:

Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to visitors and customers - helping them feel welcome and informed

Operate the checkout system and reconcile cash at the end of each shift

Package produce, restock fridges, and maintain attractive product displays

Assemble customer orders with care and attention to detail

Answer phones and respond to emails in a professional, helpful manner

Keep work areas tidy, including the market, prep room, and storage spaces

Learn and share information about Greenacres' products and programs

Support inventory efforts and organization with the Farm Market Coordinator

Represent Greenacres with warmth, professionalism, and pride in our mission

Other assigned duties from the Farm Market Manager


Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous retail, customer service, food service, or market experience is a plus

Comfortable using technology, including POS systems, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office

Friendly and professional communication skills

Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset

Willingness to learn about our products and mission

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Able to stand, walk, and bend during an 8-hour shift

Willing to work in walk-in refrigerators and freezers as needed

Must be available to work 3 days a week (10-15 hours), including Saturdays and around holidays

Primary work location is Oldenburg, IN, with occasional shifts in Indian Hill, OH

Possess a valid driver's license and pass screening by Greenacres' auto insurance carrier to drive Greenacres' vehicles 

Ability to successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test and fingerprint FBI background screen
