Unit Description:

The Posy Coronary Care Unit (5 Tower) is a 31-bed telemetry unit.  Nursing care is provided to adult cardiac and acute care medical surgical patients ages 18 years through the lifespan. Patients cared for on this unit include, but are not limited to post cardiac catheterization, post device placement, heart failure, and management and care of adult cystic fibrosis. Patient care includes frequent physical assessments, post operative care, administration of blood products, dressing changes, chest physiotherapy, and selected respiratory treatments.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification is required. 1-year previous experience as a skilled medical/surgical-telemetry nurse is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is Day Shift, 24 hours per week, 7am-7:30pm.
