Unarmed Security Guard

Job Type: Part-time, NON-EXEMPT

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Work Location: In-person (Sacramento, CA)

Available Shifts: Day shift, Swing shift, Grave shift

Position Overview

As a Security Officer I at Diligence Security Group, you play a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment while supporting daily security operations. We are seeking experienced security professionals who possess strong situational awareness, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This position is ideal for individuals with prior security, military, corrections, public safety, campus safety, or law enforcement experience. Officers assigned to this role are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism while conducting patrols, controlling access, responding to incidents, and documenting activities.

Candidates selected for this position must successfully complete all client-required onboarding, screening, and clearance requirements as a condition of employment.

Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background investigation, drug screening, pre-employment physical examination, and any client-required screening processes. Licenses and Certifications

Active California BSIS Guard Card (MUST HAVE)

Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record (MUST HAVE)

Ability to maintain an insurable driving record (MUST HAVE)

CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (Preferred)

Screening Requirements

Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation

Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening

Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination

Must be able to obtain and maintain all required site clearances

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Experience

Minimum two (2) years of security experience (REQUIRED)

Three (3) or more years of professional security experience (Preferred)

Military, law enforcement, corrections, public safety, or campus safety experience (Highly Preferred)

Position Duties

Serve as a visible presence to deter criminal activity, misconduct, and policy violations

Conduct interior and exterior patrols of assigned facilities and property

Monitor and control access through established admittance procedures

Verify employee, visitor, contractor, and vendor credentials

Patrol entrances, exits, parking areas, and client locations to prevent unauthorized access

Respond to unusual, suspicious, emergency, and potentially hazardous situations

Prepare detailed Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, and supplemental documentation

Identify and report safety hazards, security concerns, and operational issues

Assist employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors in a professional manner

Support emergency response activities, evacuations, and critical incident management

Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch personnel, client representatives, and emergency responders

Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and operations

Utilize electronic reporting and communication systems as required

Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

Ability to conduct prolonged foot patrols throughout assigned properties

Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, and move quickly when necessary
