Astronics AES is searching for a Staff Level Electrical Engineer to join our A irborne Power Control (APC) Product Team based in Kirkland, WA . This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape the design and development of cutting-edge electrical systems, including fixed-wing, helicopter and pioneering eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) applications.This is primarily an on-site role ; however, we offer flexibility for part-time remote work depending on project requirements.Are you an experienced electrical engineer with expertise in a regulated industry such as aerospace. Our products serve critical systems for s mall to midsize business jets, UAVs, and rotorcraft , and we are looking for driven individuals to help us take them to the next level.

Preferred Skills & Candidate Scoring Criteria We're looking for a candidate who demonstrates expertise in the following areas: Product Development Process: Experience in circuit design, simulation, PWB design support, and hardware verification. Power Electronics: Design experience with power electronics circuits; experience with resonant converters is highly valued. Collaboration & Leadership: Proven ability to work effectively in team environments.

Leadership experience is highly valued. Meeting Deadlines: Ability to deliver exceptional results under tight timelines. Preferred: examples of successfully overcoming time constraints.

Technical Data Development: Skill in creating thorough, methodical, and accurate technical data packages. Design robust products suitable for aircraft environments , accounting for factors like temperature and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) .

Collaborate with technicians to support and execute hardware performance testing. Present technical concepts and results to internal teams and external stakeholders . Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.

Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in highly regulated industries, showcasing expertise in the key responsibilities listed above.
