As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Risk Assessment in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
