Part Time Vehicle Patrol Security Officer - 77054

United Protective Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and safety-minded Part-Time Security Officer to conduct vehicle patrols at a neighborhood shopping center. This position is ideal for individuals who are attentive, responsible, and capable of working independently while maintaining a highly visible security presence throughout the property.

Schedule
  • Tuesday: 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Thursday: 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Position Overview

The Security Officer will patrol the shopping center in a company vehicle, providing a visible security presence while monitoring for suspicious activity, criminal behavior, safety hazards, trespassing, loitering, and other property concerns. Officers are expected to exercise sound judgment, practice safe driving habits, and work responsibly with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous vehicle patrols throughout the shopping center and parking areas
  • Monitor for suspicious persons, criminal activity, safety hazards, and property damage
  • Identify and address issues involving trespassing, loitering, and homeless individuals in accordance with company policy
  • Serve as a visible deterrent to theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity
  • Conduct periodic foot patrols as needed to inspect specific areas of the property
  • Interact professionally with customers, tenants, vendors, and property management
  • Report incidents, maintenance concerns, and security issues promptly
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports accurately and on time
  • Assist law enforcement, emergency responders, and property management when necessary
  • Operate the patrol vehicle safely and professionally at all times
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record (required)
  • Active Texas Security License (or ability to obtain one)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
