Job description

We help make your world a safer place.

Pay: $26.50 per hour
Employment Type: Part-time, 24 hours per week
Schedule: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, 12:00 AM-8:00 AM
Primary Coverage: Wilmington/North of Boston, with occasional travel into Boston and support for other Mobile clusters as operationally needed

About the Position

This is a driving-based, multi-site supervisory position-not a stationary security assignment.

The Part-Time Mobile Security Supervisor provides overnight leadership and operational support for Mobile Security Officers working throughout the region. The supervisor will primarily support the Wilmington/North of Boston coverage area while providing occasional assistance in Boston and across other Mobile clusters when needed.

In addition to overseeing officers and assigned routes, the Mobile Supervisor may conduct patrol inspections, respond to alarms, perform guard checks, provide temporary site coverage, and assist with other scheduled or dispatched services.

This position requires someone who can work independently, respond calmly to changing priorities, support employees in the field, and make responsible decisions without constant direction.

Coverage and Travel Requirement

Candidates must be comfortable traveling throughout the assigned region, including occasional travel into Boston.

Most assignments will support Wilmington and communities north of Boston. However, operational needs may require the supervisor to assist officers, respond to incidents, or provide coverage in Boston or another Mobile cluster.

Candidates must be comfortable driving in urban areas, navigating unfamiliar locations, and adjusting their route when priorities change.

Important Driving Requirement

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position.

Mobile Security Supervisors operate a company patrol vehicle throughout their shift and must consistently follow all traffic laws, posted speed limits, seatbelt requirements, and Securitas safe-driving policies.

Securitas patrol vehicles are equipped with Samsara vehicle-safety technology that monitors driving activity and behavior. Supervisors must be comfortable working in a monitored company vehicle and setting a strong example of safe, professional driving.

Safe and responsible driving is a condition of employment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide overnight supervision and operational support to Mobile Security Officers.
  • Monitor assigned routes and help ensure scheduled inspections and services are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain communication with officers, dispatchers, operations personnel, and management throughout the shift.
  • Respond to employee questions, route delays, call-outs, missed services, vehicle problems, and other operational concerns.
  • Assist with coordinating coverage when an officer is unavailable or a route requires additional support.
  • Conduct guard checks and employee welfare checks.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to officers regarding performance, reporting, post orders, customer service, and safe-driving expectations.
  • Escalate serious incidents, staffing concerns, client issues, and emergencies to the appropriate manager.
  • Respond to alarm activations and dispatched calls, assess conditions from a safe position, and follow established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct exterior and interior patrol inspections at client properties.
  • Complete locking, unlocking, arming, disarming, key-control, and access-related duties when assigned and properly trained.
  • Provide temporary site or route coverage when operationally necessary.
  • Review activity and incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • Prepare clear supervisory reports documenting incidents, employee concerns, route issues, and actions taken.
  • Inspect patrol vehicles, keys, access devices, and assigned equipment and report any problems promptly.
  • Ensure officers follow client instructions, company policies, uniform standards, and professional conduct expectations.
  • Safely operate a Securitas patrol vehicle throughout the assigned coverage area.
  • Travel into Boston and other Mobile coverage areas when operational support is required.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record that meets Securitas Safe Driving requirements.
  • Willingness to operate a company vehicle equipped with Samsara vehicle-safety monitoring.
  • Ability to work every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 12:00 AM-8:00 AM.
  • Ability and willingness to travel into Boston and support other Mobile clusters when needed.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous security, public safety, mobile patrol, military, law-enforcement, facilities, or related experience.
  • Ability to provide direction, coaching, and support to employees.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to make responsible decisions during alarms, staffing issues, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear activity, incident, and supervisory reports.
  • Comfort using smartphones, GPS navigation, mobile applications, and digital reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, and remain accountable throughout the shift.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to report to work on time.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods, frequently enter and exit a vehicle, walk, stand, and climb stairs.
  • Ability to conduct indoor and outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to remain alert and responsive throughout an overnight shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory, lead-officer, or field-training experience.
  • Experience in mobile patrol, alarm response, dispatch, or multi-site security operations.
  • Experience addressing employee performance concerns and documenting follow-up.
  • Familiarity with Wilmington, communities north of Boston, Boston, and surrounding roadways.
  • Experience managing routes, responding to changing assignments, or coordinating field employees.
  • Strong customer-service skills and a professional, approachable leadership style.
What We're Looking For

The strongest candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, observant, and comfortable leading employees during overnight operations. They must be able to balance supervisory responsibilities with hands-on fieldwork and respond appropriately when staffing, route, vehicle, client, or security issues arise.

This position requires a supervisor who will remain engaged throughout the shift, communicate clearly, follow through on concerns, and hold themselves and others accountable.

Because the Mobile Supervisor operates a company vehicle, supports multiple officers, and represents Securitas across the region, responsible driving, professionalism, sound judgment, and leadership are essential.
