Job description

Payson City is hiring qualified Paramedics to work part-time. The shift are typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Under the general supervision of the Fire Chief, this position performs emergency medical and trauma care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Age: 21 years old at time of hire

Certification Requirement: Utah State Paramedic License (Must be current and in good standing)

American Heart BLS CPR provider card
Current ACLS and PALS Certifications

Valid Utah Driver's License

Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds without assistance and difficulty
Be available a minimum of 48 hours each month in 12 hour shift increments.

Essential Duties may include the following:
- Rescues victims from hazardous conditions
- Responds to select medical and traumatic emergencies along with responding to select hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes to provide inter-facility
transfers.
- Provides emergency medical care at the scene, enroute to the hospital and during transportation from facility-to-facility.
- Provides emergency medical care as appropriate to the practice of Paramedic.
- Adheres to local, regional and state guidelines regarding patient care.
- Ensures that emergency vehicles and equipment are always ready to use. Makes sure ambulances are stocked and ready to run at any time. Ensures that
emergency vehicles and equipment are cleaned and disinfected.
- Performs assigned station and housekeeping duties while on shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
