Era Living is seeking a part-time Driver to become the newest member of our Life Enrichment team located in our Ida Culver House Broadview Community, Seattle, WA. Shift is scheduled on Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Driver provides customer service-focused transportation for community residents to a variety of activities, appointments and outings. Assists in resident group activities as required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide transportation for residents including: personal/small group shopping trips, to and from appointments, and for small group external recreation events
  • Schedule vehicle trips for residents and/or life enrichment activities/events and place reminder calls of the scheduled events to residents
  • Provide general care and preventative maintenance of community vehicles
  • Assist residents in and out of vehicles; provide additional escort as needed
  • Lead or assist in resident group activities as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have and maintain a driving record compliant with Era Living Qualified and Authorized Drivers policy
  • Possess basic computer skills including ability to use Outlook and email
  • Able to communicate, read, and write effectively in English
  • Interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required

Education and Experience:
  • Valid Washington State Driver License; Must be 25 years' old.
  • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Complete Caregiver Dementia and Caregiver Mental Health training within 120 days of hire
  • Must complete 70 hour course to earn a long term care aide certificate within 120 days of hire
  • **Not required if worked in boarding home setting in 2011
  • Required to complete 12 hours of Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) yearly (completed by birthdate)
