Job description

Position Summary

The Bartender/Server is responsible for providing attentive, warm, and detailed service to all guests. Bartender will be responsible for serving food and beverage, managing service bar, and assisting pool team where necessary. Internal guest will be expected to follow all procedures regarding responsible cash handling and check closing.

This position will also be responsible for serving- Manage all tasks related to food and beverage service in a courteous and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area in accordance with company standards and procedures.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment. Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and on the pool deck satisfied at all times
  • Clear, clean, reset, and maintain station during shift
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages
  • Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Ability to handle money and make correct change
  • Comprehension of POS system
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment

Education:

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Previous hospitality and bartending experience is required
