As a part-time dishwasher, you clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment for hotels and restaurants for fewer than 35 hours a week. You fulfill your duties as part of the kitchen staff, assisting cooks with keeping a fresh supply of clean dishes to serve to customers. Your responsibilities also include sanitizing, drying, and putting away dishes, checking the inventory of dishes and utensils, alerting management when stock runs low or washing equipment has a maintenance issue, and cleaning the kitchen area, including countertops, floors, cabinets, and shelves.
