Job Description

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general environmental monitoring testing following written procedures and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.

  • Collects samples for Environmental monitoring (EM) and utilities monitoring (UM) at client facilities
  • Transports samples, supplies, and equipment between the Eurofins laboratory site and client sites
  • Perform laboratory analyses including (but not limited to) Bioburden, Endotoxin, Total organic carbon (TOC), conductivity, pH
  • Performs visual inspection of agar plates for microbial growth
  • Data entry into LIMS or controlled forms using good documentation practices (GDP)
Qualifications
  • At least an Associate's degree in microbiology or other relevant subject. 
    • High school diploma with previous GMP environmental monitoring/microbiology work experience would be considered
  • Strong aseptic technique
  • Ability to be on your feet for 4+ hours at a time
  • Ability to lift or move 20lbs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-starter with problem solving and multitasking skills

Position is part-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with potential overtime or flexed hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.
