Job Description

The Delivery Driver represents Chick-fil-A by executing safe driving practices and extending 2nd Mile Service beyond the restaurant. This individual helps differentiate Chick-fil-A from others in the delivery space by being presentable, efficient, and friendly. Safety and communication, and commitment to hospitality are vital to this role in contributing to Chick-fil-A’s Shared Vision of being the world's most caring company.

All On Demand / Part Time Delivery Drivers must work at least 12 hours a week/or a minimum of 3 shifts a week.

All Scheduled / Full Time Delivery Drivers must work at least 35 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

Delivery Driver responsibilities include:

  • Participating in Driver Safety Training.
  • Executing safe driving best practices.
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, including tires, gas level and warning lights/indicators, vehicle cleanliness, etc.
  • Maintaining a charged phone/device throughout the duration of delivery.
  • Extending Core 4 and 2nd Mile Service beyond the Restaurant.
  • Helping differentiate Chick-fil-A from others in the delivery space.
  • Representing the Restaurant by being presentable, efficient, and friendly.
  • Must be able to use technology with ease and without help

Skills & Requirements

Delivery Drivers must meet the following requirements:

  • Positive attitude
  • Exhibit the Core 4 with the Guest and team
  • Teamwork
  • Must have a clean 3-year driving record
  • Average at least 3 shifts or 12 hours per week if On Demand
  • Average at least 5 shifts or 35 hours (no more than 40 hours) per week if Scheduled.

Physical Abilities

- Be able to walk over seven hours a day while carrying up to 50 pounds

- Have the ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, reach, crouch and twist throughout the day

- Work without the need for breaks of any kind for at least 2 hours at a time

- Tolerate high levels of heat exposure for extended periods of time

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours

- Move with a high sense of urgency

- Climbing 4+ flights of stairs

- Balance while carrying items

- Quick reflexes and the ability to adapt to changing situations

- Walking and running short distances

- Endurance for repetitive tasks

- Agility in navigating tight spaces
