Position Summary

Overton Industries is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to safely operate a company vehicle and efficiently deliver and pick up parts, materials, and finished goods within the local area. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate delivery records, ensuring timely service, and supporting warehouse operations as needed.

**Key Responsibilities **

  • Load delivery vehicle with packages scheduled for the day’s route.

  • Determine the most efficient delivery sequence and prepare a daily route plan; consult with the supervisor regarding any unusual issues or concerns.

  • Deliver packages to customers and obtain signed receiving documentation (packing slips).

  • Use a company-provided cell phone to provide delivery updates and report progress as required.

  • Pick up returned items and materials for company use; verify items against packing slips and obtain/confirm receipt signatures.

  • Maintain basic records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery documentation.

  • Follow the vehicle maintenance schedule, including taking the assigned truck (and other company vehicles, when instructed) for service; report any mechanical issues promptly.

  • Assist with general warehouse duties upon completion of delivery routes.
