Location: MSU Bakery
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

As a Decorator, you will be responsible for Decorating cookies, cupcakes, and brownies, icings and related fillings and toppings, as well as other high quality decorated baked items for distribution to campus units and bakery customers.
-Performs bakery make-up duties such as icing and decorating cakes, cookies, brownies and related sweets in order to produce creative, high quality decorated baked goods for consumption by MSU Bakers customers.
-Loads and removes bakery items from pans and molds.
-Operates, cleans, and maintains preparation, baking, decorating and storage equipment such as mixers, pastry tubes, and pastry tips.
-Stores food items to ensure efficient handling and elimination of waste and spoilage.
-Cleans utensils and work areas according to prescribed sanitary standards.
-Obtains necessary ingredients and equipment for decoration of assigned food items.
-Greases or otherwise prepares baking equipment and utensils.
-Assist in the distribution and arrangement of baked items.
-Assists bakers and other MSU Bakers staff as needed or directed.

Required Qualifications
-Experienced Decorator and must have at least 2 years of decorating, either as a home business or retail business.
-Photos of items that have been decorated please include in the application.
-Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
-Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
-Must be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population
-Working knowledge of baking and decorating methods, process, and materials
-Standards of personal hygiene consistent with sanitations rules and regulations
-Occasional lifting of 26 to 75 pounds
-Must be available to work a minimum of 25-29 hours per week
