Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 4x10hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Sep 14, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 18 months of recent Cath Lab experience and a FL or compact RN license. Details Work in a hospital Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Patient population includes adults undergoing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations Performs left and right heart catheterizations, Swan Ganz/pulmonary artery line monitoring, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring Manages and interprets dysrhythmias during procedures Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM On-call requirement of approximately 9 shifts within a 5 week period Floating required within scope to meet facility needs Block scheduling not accommodated EPIC charting system used Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted Current BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start 18 months of recent Cath Lab experience required, preferably within the last 3 years 2 years of experience preferred EP and Vascular experience preferred One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty required for consideration Must pass a 10 panel drug screen including nicotine/cotinine testing Additional Information Facility is a Teaching hospital with 230 staffed beds providing Short Term Acute Care Smoke free facility requiring all travelers to be nicotine free with no exceptions Ceil Blue scrub color required Time-sensitive training modules must be prioritized and completed promptly once assignment is confirmed EKG and Pharmacology testing required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts per test and no remediation for retesting Travelers will be cancelled if they fail required orientation testing Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate All requested time off must be submitted upfront at time of consideration, as late requests are unlikely to be approved Travelers expected to work every other holiday COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with medical or religious exemptions only First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent or per diem employees must wait 1 year from their previous end date before returning to this health system Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6 month break is typically required before returning to this health system American Traveler Job ID P-748063.
