Rate: $17.13-$21/hour

Location: Dearborn MI, Wayne County MI

General Function

The Behavior Technician (BT) will be primarily responsible for interacting with clients in a group and 1:1 setting, applying behavioral principles to achieve individualized goals and tracking results.

Education/Experience/Training/Certifications

At minimum has a high school diploma or GED (18+ years of age).

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, not required.

Must be able to provide current auto insurance, valid driver’s license, and a clean criminal history.

An interest in/have experience in: psychology, sociology, counseling, behavioral sciences, social work, teaching, education, child development, caregiving, babysitting, nannying, etc.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Implements ABA treatment programs in a variety of settings (i.e. home, school, community) as directed by the Supervising BCBA.

Implements BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans) specific to client as set forth by a BCBA.

Collects all required data throughout the client’s session utilizing data collection software and communicate with the Supervising BCBA if there are issues that require their attention.

Reviews and implement consultation/supervision note recommendations.

Mentors new BTs and RBTs by assisting in the onboarding and training as directed by the Clinical Director.

Communicates appropriately and effectively with colleagues and families as needed.

Follows all policies and procedures, including but not limited to, confidentially and mandated reporting standards as set by the Advance ABA Care team.

Obtains/Maintains Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification within 90 days of hire.

Working Conditions

The work environment includes the clinic, school, and client homes.

Some lifting and physical exertion may be required.

Must have open availability with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Ability to sit/stand for extended hours

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
