Data Security Engineer
The Opportunity:
Architect, deploy, and configure data security solutions across various clients for DoD, IC, and civilian federal clients. Create new architectures to meet client requirements adhering to Zero Trust best practices and IC data header guidelines. Interface with key stakeholders, including agency personnel and internal delivery and engineering teams. Assist in building custom policy to ensure positive control of data across hybrid cloud environments.
You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting enterprise data security solutions
  • Experience implementing and administering Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, such as Forcepoint, Trellix, Symantec, or Microsoft Purview
  • Experience tuning and troubleshooting data protection policies and controls
  • Experience integrating security solutions within complex enterprise environments
  • Experience documenting and diagramming technical architectures
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and developing scalable engineering solutions
  • Knowledge of engineering across cybersecurity, networking, operating systems, identity, cloud, and enterprise infrastructure
  • Ability to evaluate, learn, and implement new security technologies and capabilities
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions such as Varonis, BigID, or similar technologies
  • Experience working in federal, DoD, or IC agency environments
  • Experience managing and maintaining containerization technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, directives, frameworks, and risk management processes
  • Knowledge of Trusted Data Format (TDF) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
  • Knowledge of Virtru Data Security Platform (DSP) and Keycloak
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
