Essential Job Functions:
  1. Provide customer service-oriented communications services for the students and staff which may include such duties as: computer assistance, locating resources, checking materials in and out of library, telephone answering, responding to inquiries and information requests from both students and staff, taking accurate and delivering timely messages, greeting visitors.
  2. Produce correspondence, reports, and other documents (both paper and electronic) assuring proofreading for accurate punctuation, grammar and spelling and an appropriate format.
  3. Perform assigned clerical duties to assure efficient and effective operation of the support function, including such activities as: preparing books and magazines for stacks and displays; assist with sanitizing of computers/tables within the library; preparation of classroom projects as requested; maintaining filing and retrieving records in accordance with systems standards; copying, assembling and distributing materials.
  4. Perform administrative tasks as assigned, which could include producing reports, completing forms, logging or posting of information, data entry, and maintaining information.
  5. Provide fill-in support as required in the absence of other support staff or in an overload situation.
  6. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the work group or work site.

High School diploma or equivalent
Job Requirements:
  • Must have at least one (1) year business experience with the following computer operations and applications knowledge:
    • MS Word-intermediate level proficiency.
    • Excel-entry level familiarity with spreadsheet management.
    • Database-entry level familiarity (able to accomplish data entry and basic navigation through a standard database; basic knowledge of Access helpful).
    • Able to conduct basic research utilizing Internet search engine.
  • Work schedule for this position requires availability to work Monday-Thursday, 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
