Position Responsibilities
Position SummaryThe Administrative Coordinator will work within the Office of Research Assurances to help with day-to-day activities and operations of the unit.
The Administrative Coordinator will also serve as an interface with UI faculty, staff, students, and committee members. They will assist the coordinators of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, the Institutional Biosafety Committee, and the Institutional Review Board with various administrative tasks.
This position must be able to exercise discretion in applying policies and procedures, using professional judgment and demeanor in a manner that promotes a positive image of the unit.
Responsibilities
Job Duty Function Provide office support by:
Job Duties/Responsibilities - Assist the coordinators of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, the Institutional Biosafety Committee, and the Institutional Review Board with various administrative tasks.
- Assisting with data entry and word processing using various software programs.
- Assisting with preparation of correspondence and newsletters.
- Filing, making copies, using computers, fax and copy machines, answering the telephone and using email.

Job Duties/Responsibilities - Performing related tasks and other duties as assigned by Director, Office of Research Assurance, and ORA staff within the scope of this position and as needed.

Position Qualifications
Required Qualifications - Experience with office support functions; including using computer software and applications for word processing, email, internet searches, and data organization.
- Experience interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services.
- Independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements.
- Editing and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with customer service.
- Experience with filing, making copies, using computers, fax and copy machines, answering the telephone and using email.
