The Human Resources Assistant plays an important role in supporting our team members and helping our organization thrive. Working closely with the HR Director, this position assists with a variety of human resources functions, including recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, training, compensation, safety, and compliance.

This role helps support the people behind our mission by contributing to a positive workplace experience and ensuring our employees have the resources they need to succeed. Through a combination of HR and administrative responsibilities, the HR Assistant supports the growth, development, and daily operations of the organization, ultimately helping us provide exceptional care to our patients.ย

This is a part-time role, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Open to two or three days a week, but Monday and Tuesday would be required. This is a fully in-person role.ย

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruiting and HR administrative support would be the primary focus of this role.ย 

Collaborates with the HR Director on selecting and prescreening applicants.

Supports the HR Director in the administration of human resource programs, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, performance, and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Assists with identifying staffing and recruiting needs and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.

Aids the HR Director in monitoring and ensuring that the organization is following federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; and may suggest changes to policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

Assists with data entry tasks and employee life cycle onboardingย 

Assists with creating the company's bi-monthly newsletter.

Collaborates and supports the HR Director and the Marketing Manager on employee engagement initiatives.

Corrects employees' time punches, preps, and enters payroll on a bi-weekly basis. ย 

Performs other duties as required.

Requirements


Education Level: Requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or a similar subject.ย 

Must pass a background check

Job Related/Industry Experience: One year (preferred)ย 

General business and HR knowledge

ย Excellent interpersonal communication skills

ย Strong attention to detailย 

Ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel applications, and company operational systems

Physical Requirements: Mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer system
