The Entry-Level Safety Coordinator assists in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. This role includes supporting safety audits, investigating incidents, managing data entry, and acting as a liaison with contractors and vendors. The coordinator will work closely with the Public Safety Managerial Supervisor to ensure all safety protocols are followed and improvements are implemented.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

  • Safety Audits: Assist in conducting regular safety audits of the facility to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Hazard Identification: Identify potential hazards and report findings to the Public Safety Managerial Supervisor.
  • Incident Investigations: Support investigations of incidents, including accidents, near misses, and safety breaches.
  • Data Management: Manage data entry related to safety audits, incident investigations, and contractor compliance.
  • Liaison with Contractors: Act as a liaison with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with safety and facility standards.
  • Contractor Safety Plans: Review and approve contractor safety plans and procedures under the guidance of the Safety Manager.
  • Inspections: Conduct audits and inspections of contractor work to ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain records of contractor performance and compliance.
  • Safety Programs: Support the development and promotion of safety programs and initiatives to prevent workplace injuries.
  • Safety Training: Assist in conducting safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with departments to implement proactive solutions and safety improvements.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional safety certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a safety or compliance role is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in data entry and management software.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to conduct facility audits and inspections, which may involve walking, climbing, and exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Flexible: Able to adapt to changing situations and think on your feet. Open availability and willing to work some holidays, weekends, and late evenings.
  • Professionalism: Capable of operating in a fast-paced theme park environment while interacting professionally with employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Outdoor Readiness: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record check, and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • At least 18 years of age.

  • May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole
